Gaibandha district was established on 14th February 1984. From that day the journey of Atar District Cooperative Office started. This office is located at College Road, Thana Para. The office is located on the third floor of a three-story building. The total number of rooms in the office is 10. The cooperative department of Gaibandha district is working for human resource development. The total number of cooperative societies in this district is 2500. The number of effective associations is about 400. The co-operative department provides various trainings to enhance the skills of the members of the co-operative society, such as: mobile service, basic computer, tailoring, association management, cattle grooming, fish farming, fashion design, etc. Training in animal husbandry and association management is provided.
