1. Legal Services:

Legal services under Cooperative Societies Act, 2001 (Amended 2002), Cooperative Societies Amendment Act, 2013 and Cooperative Societies Rules, 2004

Registration of co-operative societies and by-law amendment:

  • cooperative society gets legal basis through registration of sub-legislation. Sub-laws can be changed in the light of the decisions of common members of the association.
  • Primary co-operative association is registered by the District Cooperative Officer.
  • All types of Central Co-operative Societies are registered by divisional joint-registrar.
  • All the National Cooperative Societies are registered by the Registrar.
  • Registration fee for registration of cooperative society is required to be deposited in Treasury Shipping with official treasury. In this case, the minimum registration fee is 50 / - and the maximum registration fee is 5,000 / -. Government Revenue Registration Fees

Management, Audit, Inspection and Termination

  • Management of the organization is managed by the democratically elected committee. If the elected committee is not elected, then the interim committee was appointed under the law by the Registrar. This committee manages the management of the association.
  • Annual audit is conducted on the management and financial activities of the association by any employee or person empowered by the Registrar.
  • Investigation of any irregularity registered by the association, through the inspection or investigation.
  • If any dispute arising from the association is made to the Registrar, he will appoint the arbitrator. The arbitrator gives verdict in fairness, honesty and well-informed decisions. There is a chance to appeal if anyone is upset in the verdict.
  • If the association is ineffective or if the members are unwilling to run the association, then the Registrar Committee can abolish it. You can also withdraw the termination order due to the interest of the members.

2. Training services:

In the District Co-operative Office, a coaching team coordinates a co-ordinated training team with a coaching and an assistant trainer. Besides, vocational training on different trade of cooperatives such as bee cultivation, fishery farming, computer training, toiletry, block-batik, fashion and design training is provided. For managing the co-operative society efficiently, the members of the management committee are provided with management and accounting training.

3. Complaints and Dismissal:

  • District level complaints will be submitted to the District Cooperative Officer.
  • Departmental level complaints will be submitted to the departmental co-operative officer.
  • Co-operative department has to submit a complaint if it has any complaint.
